From Rhonda Parkinson, your Guide to Chinese Food
This week, a recipe for Chinese Chicken Salad, an easy Asian Vinaigrette, Sweet and Sour Pork Chops from Jaden Hair, and a fun recipe for deep-fried ice cream from our forum.

Shrimp With Coconut Milk
This is a popular recipe that I originally published in 2005 and am bringing back. Marinated shrimp are simmered with plum tomatoes in coconut milk, honey and rice vinegar. A dash of crushed pepper flakes adds the final touch.

Lion's Head Meatballs
This popular casserole dish gets its fun name from the oversized meatballs representing a lion's head, and the cabbage leaves which are meant to represent its mane.

Vegetable Egg Rolls Video
A great vegetarian appetizer - deep-fried egg rolls filled with Shiitake mushrooms, carrots, cabbage and green onions.

More Chinese Chicken Salad
The origins of this well-known dish lie in Szechuan province in western China. In this recipe, the chicken breast is poached before being shredded and served on top of thin matchstick cucumber slices, and coated with a wildly flavorful sauce. The recipe calls for sesame paste, but you can substitute chunky peanut butter.
