 | Little kids who like theme parks have a couple more fun places to go in Florida: Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has a new area with Sesame Street theming, and over in Winter Haven a new LEGOLAND Florida theme park is being created (- not ready until 2011, though.) Meanwhile, for Harry Potter fans of all ages: the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter finally has an official opening date. | |
A New LEGOLAND Coming, in Florida
So far, LEGOLAND California has been the only LEGO theme park in the US - but now a new LEGOLAND Florida is planned to open at the end of 2011. LEGOLAND theme parks are designed for ages two to twelve, and feature rides, water-play zones, live shows, play zones, and of course amazing creations made of millions of LEGO bricks.
| Sesame Street at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay
This beautifully laid-out theme park -- now named Busch Gardens Africa -- combines great coasters and water rides with the chance to view African animals. New this year: a "Sesame Street Safari of Fun" area, with kid-sized rides and water attractions.
| The Wizarding World of Harry Potter .
At last, there's an official opening date for this much-awaited "theme park within a theme park": the big day's June 18 2010, just in time for summer holidays. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be a 20-acre "theme park within a theme park", in the Islands of Adventure park at Universal Orlando.
