From Linda Garrison, your Guide to Cruises
Here it is already February! Last year, two cruise ships, the Disney Dream and Oceania Marina, had already welcomed passengers in January and February. This year, we'll have to wait until next month to see the Disney Dream's new sister ship, the Disney Fantasy. Let's look back at the Disney Dream.

Disney Dream Cruise Ship Tour and Profile
Although the 130,000-ton Disney Dream cruise ship is over 50 percent larger than her two sister ships, the Disney Wonder and Disney Magic, anyone who has sailed on those ships will find the Disney Dream very familiar. However, Disney has added a few new amenities that kids (and adults) will love.

Disney Dream Exteriors and Pool Decks
The Disney Dream is geared towards family fun. This fun is definitely evident around its pool deck, with three pools for different age groups and plenty of lounge chairs to enjoy the warm sunshine. And, then there's that exciting AquaDuck water coaster!

Disney Dream Interiors
The classic interior common areas of the Disney Dream cruise ship are very similar to those of her sister ships. In addition, the ship has many whimsical touches such as Mickey ears embedded in the furnishings and Mickey hands used to mark the decks on the elevators. One new innovation--pieces of "enchanted" art scattered throughout the ship.

Disney Dream Cabins
The Disney Dream has 1,250 cabins and since many of the cabins have beds for 4 people, the ship carries 4,000 guests. The cabins all have split baths, and many have balconies. Even the inside cabins have a "magic" porthole that allows the guests to see outside!
