Yes, the white stuff is still coming down in much of Italy, and in many areas in staggering amounts -- parts of Irpinia, the Abruzzo, Molise, the Marche, and Emilia Romagna have gotten upwards of 12 feet (yes, feet, that's 3 meters) of snow and those in the countryside are still largely isolated. The cause? A rare combination of weather conditions leading to a channel of cold air running west from Russia via the Balkans -- the last time this happened was 1985, and they tell us it will continue for at least another week.
