Today We're just over two weeks away from the 84th Annual Academy Awards ceremony, but with a bit of a lull in Hollywood at the moment (This Means War, really?) we're already thinking ahead. Here's a preview of some of the biggest films and performances from our Guide to Movies (with an assist from our Guide to Documentaries). Rundown of the Big Oscar Nominees I was thrilled to see Terrence Malik's surreal, ambitious, existential The Tree of Life earn a nomination for "Best Picture", even though it's got some pretty strong competition from The Artist. As for our Guide to Movies, she has some thoughts on this year's nominees too--including the most notable snubs.
