Hi everyone. Do you know umeboshi? Umeboshi are Japanese ume plum pickles which are pretty sour. Thinking about umeboshi makes my mouth water.

Making Umeboshi
Umeboshi are commonly put inside rice balls or Japanese bento lunch boxes because it's said that umeboshi are effective for preventing food from spoiling. Umeboshi making in Japan typically begins in June when ume plums are harvested, and drying is done in July when the rainy season is over. Check out the basic steps to make umeboshi.
