This week's newsletter is loaded with recipes made with sweetened condensed milk. In case you didn't know it, but sweetened condensed milk is made by combining sugar and milk through a special vacuum process. Through this process, it has special properties that allow it to thicken without heating if combined with an acidic fruit juice like lemons. Plus, just heat some sweetened condensed milk and you get caramel.

Bar Cookies
I was cleaning out my pantry one day and came up with this recipe for Bar Cookies. Besides the sweetened condensed milk, I used-up all the little leftover bags of chips, semi-sweet, white, milk and butterscotch, nuts and so on.

Easy Chocolate Truffles
Truffles aren't difficult to make anyway, but using sweetened condensed milk makes it even easier. If you don't count what the truffles are rolled in, there are only three ingredients in this recipe for Chocolate Truffles.
