 | Even though Easter and Passover are done, there's still plenty of springtime left to enjoy. I'll just ignore the 90 degree temperatures and carry on as though it didn't feel like we skipped a season. Have an Entertaining week! | |
Always Make a Back Up Plan for Outside Entertaining
We had a beautiful Easter Sunday and were able to enjoy our dinner out on the deck. But even if the weather had taken a turn for the worse, it would have been easy enough to change plans and move our party inside. Since spring weather can be unpredictable it's important to always have a backup strategy for when you plan to entertain outside.
| Host a Kids' Clothing Swap Party
Now that Easter entertaining is behind me, I can concentrate on the next pressing issue in my home - spring cleaning! It's an ugly job, but someone has to do it, right? So while the kids are home from school this week, I'll probably lasso them one by one, drag them to their closets, and force them to help me clean them out. You think I'm kidding? Just ask the girls how it feels when we go through this semi-annual chore. When all is pulled, I'll see if I can round up a few friends with similar sized kids for a Kids' Clothing Swap Party.
| How to Do a Last Minute Clean-Up
In preparation for the holiday I cleaned the house throughout last week. But for half of it the girls were home from school. Which means that despite my best efforts, the house wasn't the way I wanted it to be. So on Sunday morning, before our guests arrived, I followed this plan for a last minute clean-up.
