The bust sits outside Griffith Observatory, where the final scenes of the James Dean Film Rebel Without a Cause were filmed. The Hollywood Sign is well over a mile away. Find out how we got them so close in the photo.
It's really in Nevada, but it's so close to California and Death Valley that I'm going to call it a California attraction despite what my atlas says. Located east of Death Valley, this is the best-preserved ghost town in the area.
