From Donna Pilato, your Guide to Entertaining
Last weekend my neighborhood was filled with limousines whisking the high school seniors off to prom. It can only mean that graduation parties are right around the corner. Have an Entertaining week!

Planning a Graduation Party
My children will not be graduating from their current schools any time soon. That's because I'm working on freezing time so that they stop growing up so quickly. On the other hand, nieces, nephews and friends' children continue to grow up and graduate, and their proud parents will need all the advice they can get on Planning a Graduation Party to make this event as memorable as their children deserve.

Plan a Pirate Party
The new "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie opens this coming weekend, and I will shamelessly admit that I can't wait to see it (and Johnny Depp!). After all, you're never too old for a good evening of swashbuckling adventure. My kids will probably hide from me before the end of the week as I repeatedly speak in pirate - all 5 or 6 words of it - in anticipation. I think they'd be much happier if I hosted a Pirate Theme Party instead, minus the pirate-speak, of course.

Summertime Entertaining Tips
This weekend we finally played with our new kitchen toy that we purchased over the winter, an ice pop maker. We knew that we'd enjoy it, but the box sat around collecting dust because we just weren't in the mood for ice pops. Suddenly, we are! This must mean that summertime is right around the corner and we should start thinking about the Best Ways to Entertain in the Summertime. Cold treats are included on that list, naturally.

The Mystery of RSVP
No other topic invites as much reader discussion on this site as the subject of RSVP. Frustrated hosts wish their guests would let them know whether they're coming to a party, whereas many guests are confused about what the request for an RSVP means. So I've put together a one stop guide to What Does RSVP Mean and How Do Hosts Get RSVP Responses from Guests. This guide includes lots of tips and sneaky strategies from readers who have grown tired of waiting for their guests to respond.
