From Arthur Levine, your Guide to Theme Parks
There is big -- hyper, mega, GIGA big -- news from Canada to share. (Whoo, I'm breathless just writing that line.) Park fans, with all of the new goodies coming on line next year, 2012 is shaping up to be one humdinger of a season. Let's also take a look at parks that don't truly have anything new coming their way, but will nonetheless be hyping their "new" rides.

Digitalis in Wonderland
Got a weak heart? Then stay the heck away from Leviathan, the 306-foot-tall, 92-mph, Giga-Coaster that will be unleashed at Canada's Wonderland next season. The park's 16th coaster will shatter Canadian coaster records and earn the ride a spot among the world's tallest and fastest thrill machines. Instead of nonstop airtime, the new coaster will use its insane height and speed to deliver a hellbent race to the finish. Read more about Leviathan.

Are you wondering what this insanely tall and fast ride looks like? Wonder no more. Check out the Leviathan Preview Photo Gallery and the Leviathan Preview Video. Then resign yourself to nearly a year of anticipation and longing. Sigh.

A Coaster by any Other Name
When is a new coaster not a new coaster? When it's a recycled coaster moved from another park. Read more.

Get Wet -- Before It's Too Late
Water park season will end soon. See what's on tap at parks this year. Then hurry up and visit one.
