Create Your Own Jabber-Based Server That Works With iChat
If you use iChat, you probably already know that it has built-in support for Jabber-based messaging. That's the same messaging scheme used by Google Talk and many other similar services. Jabber uses an open source protocol called XMPP to initiate and talk with messaging clients. | Magic Trackpad Review: Getting Ready for Lion
As many of you know, OS X Lion, the next release of the Mac OS, is just around the corner. Lion will adopt some features found in iOS, including more support for touch-based interfaces. Take a quick glance at the Apple Store at the newly introduced iMacs, and you'll see that the Magic Trackpad is now a no-cost replacement for the Magic Mouse. Apple's intent is to ensure that going forward, every new Mac will have some type of multi-touch-based interface. And while Lion will work just fine with standard mice, the Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad will be the preferred interface for desktop Macs in the future.
