Summer Dinner Party with Best Friends
When I think about summertime, images of the beach, fresh food, and people traveling to catch up with friends all jump to my mind in no particular order. That's probably because those are the things that my friends and I talk about as we discuss weekend plans throughout this much too short season. If you have great friends visiting you sometime this summer, you don't need to spend another moment thinking about what delicious fresh food to serve them. I've already done the planing for you in this Summer Dinner Party with Best Friends, which will be my "go to" menu this season.

Reader Tips for Managing Party Spoilers
Have you ever planned a party, only to have it spoiled by a well-meaning family member or guest? Have you carefully planned out your gourmet dinner, and had a friend show up with a casserole that doesn't fit your menu? Or have you organized your child's birthday party and had your mother-in-law, or ex, change it at the last minute? Share your story here and what you did to save your party.

Have You Been Invited to a Girls' Night Tupperware-type Party?
Last week I was invited to one of those girls' night home parties where a product rep gives a demo of some home or personal item. These parties can be fun if it's a group of good friends and an interesting product. Sometimes you may even be tempted to host one of these parties yourself and, if so, I have a menu for a Tupperware-type Party that is similar to the one I served when I hosted one.
