This summer, visit a cool exhibition that displays amazing props from the movies and also offers some real-life learning about history and archaeology. The place to do this is Montreal: a terrific city to visit in summer, vibrant with outdoor cafes, festivals, busy bike paths, and general joie de vivre. Indiana Jones and the Adventure of Archaeology, in Montreal This creative exhibition -- presented by the National Geographic Society -- can be seen at the Montreal Science Center until September 18, and then will travel in Europe and Asia for several years, so take the opportunity to see it now. Dozens of props are on display for each of the Indy movies, and each visitor gets a hand-held device that can cue up content about the exhibits: choices include movie clips and "behind the scenes" stories, and real-life history about the ancient cultures that are the background for the movie "artifacts". The exhibition has authentic ancient artifacts on display as well.
