Wait a minute before you say "not our style", and check out the photo of a charming hostel in the south of France. Hostels have been changing over the years, and many of them now welcome families with private "family rooms", and even with a private ensuite bathroom. Hostels have other advantages besides low price: for example, they're friendly places, a nice feature when travelling with kids.
