Things to Do

Pictures & Maps

From Betsy Malloy, your Guide to California Travel
This week, we're taking a look at the best things to do in San Francisco.

Poll Results: Things to Do in San Francisco
Last month, we asked - now the results are in. So far, the winner is a bit of a surprise, but some of the old favorites are starting to move in on it. Take a look at the results here - or vote here.

Tops in San Francisco: The 49-Mile Drive
So far, our readers have voted the 49-Mile Drive as the top thing to do in San Francisco. It started as a marketing ploy: 49 miles, one for each of San Francisco's 49 square miles. Use our guide to minimize driving frustration and skip the boring bits.

Top 10 Things to Do in San Francisco
After we picked the top 10, we asked our readers say are the things to do they like best in San Francisco, and that's what creates the ranking in our new guide.

Use it to find the best things to do in San Francisco.

Photo of the Week: Where Am I?
This is such a weird sight that you might think it was somehow staged: a scuba diver among brightly-colored fish isn't so unusual, but on holding two big bunches of broccoli is. Submit your guess or see a bigger version of it here

Drive Angry 3D Blu-ray Disc Review
The 3D Blu-ray edition of "Drive Angry" blasts its way into your living room with tires screeching and guns blazing. The plot is thin, but it makes it up with great muscle cars and "comin'-at-ya'" 3D effects that are actually well executed. Although there is some minor intermittent ghosting, the 3D holds up well. The 3D has a lot natural depth and does not suffer from "paper doll" effects. In addition, the soundtrack complements the over-the-top action well. For more details, read my review. From Anitra Brown, your Guide to Spas
How do you gain 30 pounds in just one year? Alas, I can tell you. That's why I'm looking for a weight-loss spa. I am not going to post a photo of myself in shorts, like Rachel on Extreme Makeover Weight Loss Edition (which premiered Monday night, May 30, on ABC, and is pretty good). But I started counting calories today, which means I'm serious. And I'm lining up a trip to a weight loss spa to help me on the path. I'll keep you posted.

My Great Weight Loss Adventure
The three words you never want to hear (unless the answer is a joyful "yes"): "Are you pregnant? " I heard them. Here's how I got there and what I'm going to do about it.
