For example, fall brings an excellent chance to stay in one of the unique National Park lodges that are so hard to book in summertime. Plus, you can explore an awesome Park without the summer crowds. Lodges in Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Zion, and several other National Parks can be booked online for fall getaways.
| Europe Trips With Kids
September and October are great in many parts of Europe too: the beaches are still warm and sunny and Greece, the outdoors restaurants beckon in Italy.... Meanwhile the crowds have thinned, and the prices for flights have dropped.
| Fall Foliage
Fall, of course, is also "leaf-peeping" season, with gorgeous displays of orange and red foliage; and don't think this is only a New England opportunity. Other choice places include the Great Smokies, Ohio, the Rockies... The peak weeks vary in different locations.
