| | The Regatta of Oceania Cruises has lovely decor and excellent service and cuisine. We sailed the Mexican Riviera roundtrip from Los Angeles, and a highlight of the cruise (other than the ship) was a day at Copper Canyon, Mexico. Join me for a cruise on the Regatta. | | Regatta - Cruise Ship Profile and Tour The Regatta is a 684-passenger ship, which is a great size. It's big enough to have multiple dining options, yet small enough to be able to visit exotic locations inaccessible to larger ships. Regatta is considered a "premium class" ship, but it certainly has some aspects of those in the "luxury class". | Regatta Mexican Riviera Cruise Travel Log Our 10-day cruise from Los Angeles on the Regatta featured a good mix of sea days and port days. We visited the popular Mexican ports of Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta, but also stopped over at Topolobampo to allow passengers to visit Copper Canyon on "the world's longest shore excursion" - 18 hours away from the ship, most of it on the El Chepe Train. | Dining on the Oceania Regatta The Oceania Regatta has several dining venues, all of which are excellent. The Grand Dining Room is one of the prettiest at sea, with its comfortable armchairs and elegant china. The Polo Grill and Toscana specialty restaurants are reservations-only, but do not carry a surcharge. | Regatta Common Areas Twenty-four photos of the classic look of the Oceania interiors.
