From Robert Silva, your Guide to Home Theater
Welcome to my Weekly Home Theater Newsletter! This week, check out my review of a great, affordable, DLP video projector as well as an overview of five new home theater-in-a-box systems from Yamaha. Also, with all the 3D hype, where is all the 3D content? Also, are you looking for a TV that may actually go up in value over time, then check out my Product of the Week. As a final note, if you are still looking for gift for that special grad, check out my list of suggestions.

Vivitek H1080 DLP Video Projector - Product Review
At a suggested price of $999, the Vivitek H1080 DLP Projector is a great value. With its stylish design this projector is compatible with almost any decor. With its native 1920x1080 (1080p) native pixel resolution and its 1,800 lumen output capability, the video quality is very good. Flesh tones and color saturation, once tweaked, also contribute to a satisfying viewing experience.

Additional bonuses include two HDMI outputs, a built-in speaker for classroom and business use, and a very quick turn-on and cool down shut off time. I found the Vivitek H1080 to be a good performing and easy-to-use video projector. To find out if the Vivitek H1080 is the right video projector for you, check out my Review as well as a supplementary Photo Gallery and Video Performance Tests. While both Samsung and Panasonic are offering 3D TVs and 3D Blu-ray Disc players to consumers, the problem is that other than making a 3D Blu-ray Disc version of Monster vs Aliens available to buyers of Samsung 3D TVs, there hasn't been any other 3D Blu-ray Disc program content available.
