Is it really August already? Seems like New Year's eve was just yesterday! Don't you wish summer could last forever? Get the most out of these last few weeks before the seasons change and school starts. This week, it's all about fresh fruit, watermelon and road trippin'. Nuff said.

Summer fruit salsas
Fresh summer fruit is a sweet addition to a homemade salsa recipe, so take advantage of the season and make some homemade salsa. Try this pictured apricot salsa recipe to start with, get tropical with a sweet mango and peach salsa or get creative with a unique pineapple salsa or even a mouth-watering strawberry orange salsa. Summer watermelon tips
Ah, summer. The time of fresh seasonal fruits, barefoot outdoor eating, icy lemonade and oodles of wonderful moments that will be the future's nostalgic memories. And nothing says summer like fresh juicy watermelon. But wait, according to Oklahoma, watermelon is actually a vegetable. Or both a vegetable and a fruit, apparently. Something about how it's related to cucumbers. I don't know.

Eating on the road
