From Arthur Levine, your Guide to Theme Parks
Based on reports of rough rides and gray-outs, I was prepared to be, well, intimidated by Intimidator 305. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised.

I Was Intimidated in Virginia
At 305 feet, the new Giga-Coaster at Kings Dominion is among the world's tallest coasters. Its face-melting speed and crushing positive G-forces have resulted in reports of some passengers experiencing "gray-outs" or near blackouts on the ride. The park fine-tuned its signature attraction, and I'm happy to report that not only did I survive the Virginia thrill machine with my consciousness intact, but I loved the utterly unique coaster. New Rides Blowing into Four Parks
Four parks that are part of the Cedar Fair chain, Ohio's Cedar Point and Kings Island, Knott's Berry Farm in California, and Canada's Wonderland, near Toronto, announced today that they will be introduing 300-foot-tall WindSeeker rides next season. Seated in two-person swing-style seats with their feet dangling, passengers will get lifted to the tops of 300-foot tall towers and spin around for three-minute rides. As they spin, riders' seats will lift away from the towers at a 45-degree angle. Cedar Fair says that each of the rides will cost $5 million.
