Families can enjoy themed weekends or five-day adventures, with activities that range from guided hikes to kayaking in summer or snowshoeing in winter months. Guests can even borrow outerwear at an L.L. Bean gear room. This year, the AMC is adding "Kids Spoken Here" features that include special activities and reduced child and teen rates. | Hawaii Resort Closed Due to Tsunami And finally.... Riveted by news from Japan after Friday's devastating earthquake, I only learned today that the tsunami also hit the shores of Hawaii's Big Island. Fortunately, Hawaii was spared major damage.
