 | You now what they say about New England weather: If you don't like it, wait a minute. (I haven't liked the brutal winter we've been experiencing, and I've been waiting, oh, about four weeks now.) To give you a sense of the we-don't-now-what-the-heck-the-weather-will-be wackiness beleaguered New Englanders have to endure, yesterday started out at a bone chilling 14 degrees. Then it started snowing. And snowing. Midday it turned to sleet. Then rain. The temperature later soared up to a toasty 38 degrees, which turned everything to ankle-deep-and-higher slush. I'm anticipating a few claps of thunder, followed by a sun shower, followed by more snow. It would be great if I could escape the weather madness with a ride on a roller coaster. But there are no parks open this time of year in New England. | |
Park It Indoors
 Folks in other parts of the world, however, can escape the winter doldrums by visiting an indoor theme park. Like indoor water parks, they provide a climate-controlled, weatherproof way to have park fun year round. Unfortunately, there aren't a heckuva lot of indoor theme parks.
