The Disney film Secretariat opened Sept. 8. It tells the story of a Triple Crown-winning horse that beat the odds. Of course, Sea Biscuit isn't the only horse to inspire a film and one of the most famous lived in California.

Ridgewood Ranch: Seabiscuit's California Home
California has its own legendary race horse: Seabiscuit, who lived at Ridgewood Ranch in Mendocino County. The cool thing about this is that it's open for tours.
