From Donna Pilato, your Guide to Entertaining
Even though I'm sad that the holidays are over, I always love this time when I can clear the decks and making resolutions for an even better upcoming year. Have an Entertaining week!

Host a Dessert Party - Keep the Cheer of the Holidays without the Expense
The credit card bills are beginning to roll in, but who really wants to give up the party spirit in favor of frugality? So the trick to keeping the fun going, while putting a stop to the bills, is to find a party idea that doesn't cost a fortune to host. A Dessert Party can be the answer to this dilemma. And you can bet that few people will turn down an invitation to indulge in a few sweet goodies during a cold winter's afternoon or night.

Resolve to Make Your Parties Easier in 2011
The holidays are over, and all that's left is to put away the decorations and serving pieces. As I do this, I take a little time to review the parties I've hosted and attended last year and think about what would have made my life, and my friends' lives, easier as we entertained. I think by attempting a few of these entertaining resolutions throughout our upcoming events this year, we can all enjoy the process of throwing a party more and stress a little less.

Hangover Help
New Year's Eve parties, as well as parties throughout the year, can have an unpleasant side effect for many people - the nasty hangover! That's why a party favor that can help your guests escape this fate would be a thoughtful way to send your guests home after your event.

Host a Clothing Swap Party
My lucky girls received some clothing as Christmas gifts. As we've been putting them away in their closets, we're finding pieces that no longer fit. One fun way many parents deal with the old discards is to host a clothing swap party with their friends since they are doing the same thing just about this time of year.
