From Donna Pilato, your Guide to Entertaining
This week all I have on my mind is the cold, ice, snow and trying to get warm. As you read this week's newsletter you'll discover a variety of ways to warm up both your party and your appetite. Now that I've written this, I feel cozier already. Have an Entertaining week!

Host a Texas Barbecue Super Bowl Party
While we don't know who will be the final two contenders for Super Bowl XLV on February 6, we do know the event will be hosted in Texas this year. So if you're the kind of host that likes to plan your menu a few weeks in advance, this year's location makes it easy for you. You can plan a Texas Barbecue theme party and just add the colors of your team to the party decorations. That way, no matter who wins, you know your menu will be a clear winner.

Warm Up Your Crowd with Ice Breaker Party Games
Have you ever been in a group situation where you don't know anyone else? It might be a bridal shower, a baby shower, a cocktail party, or even a business function. Some people are very good at "working" the crowd and getting to know other people, and others are not so good at that. If you're in charge of that type of event, you need to do something quickly to take the chill out of the crowd and help guests warm up to one another. That's where those silly, yet miraculous, party games called ice breakers will come to your rescue.

Do's and Don'ts of Thank You Notes
They're such a simple concept. A thank you note is an expression of appreciation for a thoughtful act, expression, or gift. But the potential formality of this note can be intimidating. This guide will help you get past the formality and show you how to make your next thank you note more about the thoughts and less about perfect grammar.

Think Chocolate
Valentine's Day is just about a month away so thoughts of chocolate are melting into my brain. At this time of the year I consider chocolate one of the major food groups and I'm actively seeking new chocolate companies to add to my list of chocolate companies and recipe sites as I plan for our loving holiday...
