From Linda Garrison, your Guide to Cruises
Africa is one of the most diverse continents, with deserts, jungles, and fascinating wildlife. Mediterranean cruises visit North Africa, Red Sea cruises visit Egypt, and Indian Ocean cruises visit South and East Africa and the islands of the Indian Ocean. This week we will look at some of Africa's diverse ports of call.

Love Mosaics? Visit the Bardo Museum in Tunis
The Bardo National Museum in Tunis has the world's largest collection of Roman mosaics, most of which were moved from sites in Tunisia and North Africa such as Carthage. Passengers on ships porting in Tunis also can visit the old city or the charming town of Sidi Bou Said.

Tangier, Morocco
Tangier is a fascinating Moroccan city to visit. It has many of the things that travelers love--a sense of exotic mystery, interesting history, beautiful vistas, unspoiled beaches, and friendly people.

Madagascar
Madagascar is an Indian Ocean island found about 200 miles from Africa. It is the 4th largest island in the world and has diverse geography and exotic sites. Much like the continent of Australia, Madagascar's isolation, size, and climate have supported the development of hundreds of endemic species found no where else in the world.

Ten Things to Do in Cape Town
Cape Town is a marvelous city, and cruise ships sailing the African coast often either include Cape Town as a port of call or use the city as an embarkation/disembarkation point. South Africa is a long way from almost everywhere, so visitors need to spend a few days on a pre- or post-cruise visit to Cape Town and the surrounding countryside.
