From Arthur Levine, your Guide to Theme Parks
Theme parks and water parks used to be separate entities. Today, however, you had better bring along your bathing suit, since most theme parks offer onsite water parks. Let's take a look at some of the best water parks at theme parks. Also, it'll cost you more cheddar to visit the Mouse.

The Theme is Water at These Parks
It used to be that if you wanted to ride coasters and carousels, you went to the theme park; if you craved water slide fun and relief from the heat, you headed to the water park. The idea of combining the two concepts seemed crazy (But not that crazy. After all, water frolickers have been riding coasters at traditional seaside and lakeside amusement parks for years.), and was initially met with resistance from the park industry.

Now most theme parks offer onsite water parks. Many of them throw in the watery attractions for nada, while others charge a separate admission. Some of the hybrid water parks are bigger than many major standalone water parks. I've compiled a listing of the best water parks that are included in admission at North American theme parks .

It's an Expensive World After All

I don't want to get all Scrooge McDuck, but remember the $34 Epcot pizzas I recently wrote about? It'll now cost $82 to get into Epcot and order the pizza. Yikes! Disney World may be offering all kinds of great hotel deals and dining packages to stimulate business during this crummy economy, but it recently raised its price for a one-day, one-park ticket (which had been $79). All of its other ticket prices went up also. Even with the increases, Disney World's multi-day passes still offer substantial savings. Are you thinking about making the trek to Disney World? Learn how to navigate the many ticket options and get the best deal at the Walt Disney World's Magic Your Way Ticket Pricing guide.

Hurricane Harbor at Six Flags New England
An enormous water park with a gaggle of watery attractions, Hurricane Harbor is included with admission to Six Flags New England.
