From Linda Garrison, your Guide to Cruises
I sailed for the first time last month on the Oceania Cruises' Regatta, and it was a wonderful cruise! This ship has lovely decor and excellent service and cuisine. We sailed the Mexican Riviera roundtrip from Los Angeles, and a highlight of the cruise was a day at Copper Canyon, Mexico. Join me for a cruise on the Regatta.

Regatta - Overview and Profile of Oceania Cruises' Regatta
The Regatta is a 684-passenger ship, which is a great size. It's big enough to have multiple dining options, yet small enough to be able to visit exotic locations inaccessible to larger ships. Regatta is considered a "premium class" ship, but it certainly has some aspects of those in the "luxury class".

Regatta Cruise Travel Log - Baja and Mexican Riviera
Our 10-day cruise from Los Angeles on the Regatta featured a good mix of sea days and port days. We visited the popular Mexican ports of Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta, but also stopped over at Topolobampo to allow passengers to visit Copper Canyon on "the world's longest shore excursion" - almost 18 hours away from the ship.

Regatta Common Areas
These 24 photos of the public areas on the Regatta demonstrate just how lovely and comfortable this ship is.

Dining on the Regatta
The Oceania Regatta has several dining venues, all of which are excellent. The Grand Dining Room is one of the prettiest at sea, with its comfortable armchairs and elegant china. The Polo Grill and Toscana specialty restaurants are reservations-only, but do not carry a surcharge.
