Ah, spring has sprung in both California and Italy! I am imagining my Italian neighbors foraging for the first spring shoots popping out of the ground, piles of artichokes clogging narrow isles of the open air markets, and soon the first agretti, our favorite marsh grass (ok, so the only marsh grass we've sauteed, but still...).
