But if you can break down your to-do list into small parts, and put them on a timetable, you'll find yourself ready when the big day arrives. Write and Send Your Invitations Once you're organized it's time to take the big step and invite your guests. After that's done, you're really committed to making your party happen, no turning back. The Pioneer Woman Cooks We were buried in our house for a couple of days last week because of the blizzard. I told my husband that it made me feel like we were living in the pioneer days when the whole family was shut out from the world for months. His reply, "yeah, the pioneer woman with the computer, tv, and cell phone." Well, that puts it into perspective. However, Ree Drummond, author of "The Pioneer Woman Cooks" is much closer to the real thing, as I share in this review of her book.
