From Donna Pilato, your Guide to Entertaining
This week we continue with party planning basics. There's one issue that few of us discuss, except with our best of friends. And that's all the effort that goes into cleaning our home to prepare to receive guests. No wonder we don't want to talk about it. Have an Entertaining week!

Do You Feel Compelled to Clean for Company?
Since I write about Entertaining, I tend to pay attention to the little details when I'm being entertained by others. One of the less discussed details of entertaining is cleaning before guests come over. I can tell that in most homes I visit, the hosts have put sizable effort into cleaning. I'm curious how much time most readers put into cleaning as they prepare to entertain.

Tidying Up During Your Party
You've planned the menu, prepared the food, set out the buffet and you feel like everything is under control. Then your guests arrive and the eating and drinking begins. And along with the fun comes the chaos of dirty dishes, glasses and serving pieces. How do you keep the mess under control without ignoring your guests?

How to Make Your Guest List
Cleaning may be the hardest part of party prep for some hosts, but for others, the real problem is how to choose the guest list. Should it be only your best friends, or all the parents on your child's soccer team? And if the answer is somewhere in the middle, how do you decide?

Wordless Wednesday - Little Mermaid, Ariel Theme Cake
If you have a photo of a beautiful cake, centerpiece, or lovely tablescape that you've created, I'd be happy to showcase it on Wordless Wednesday.
