From Donna Pilato, your Guide to Entertaining
It's so hard to write about Thanksgiving entertaining, because every time I put my fingers to the keyboard, I begin to smell and taste the powerful memories this holiday evokes. Only two more weeks to go! Have an Entertaining week!

Prepare Your Holiday Timetable
Being organized makes any party run more smoothly, although sometimes it's tempting to skip the planning stage and dive right in. Whatever you do, don't give in to that temptation with your Thanksgiving dinner. Begin your planning today for this wonderful feast.

Take Inventory of Thanksgiving Kitchen and Table Necessities
Thanksgiving is just a few short weeks away. And yet, there's still a limit on how much we can do to prepare for this major foodie holiday, especially when it comes to the food itself. But what we can do is check our inventory of Thanksgiving kitchen and table supplies that we'll need to cook and serve the big feast. That way, instead of scrambling around to find the turkey baster, we can pour ourselves another glass of wine to toast our holiday success.

Easy Tips as You Prepare for Thanksgiving
Whenever I host a party, and I'm scurrying around those final minutes before the first guest arrives, I'm always smacked in the face by the reality that it wasn't the shopping and the cooking for my guests that required all of my time. No, there's that huge chunk of unmeasurable time that comes with the little details of party hosting. Here are a few easy tips for your holiday entertaining that you can think about now, before you're been blindsided by the heavy lifting of shopping and cooking for your guests.

The Great American Cookbook
For such a relatively young country, America has gone through many culinary changes. As each wave of immigrants have landed on these shores, they've brought their own traditions and adapted them to the available ingredients on this continent. Prior to today's food scene there was a beloved food journalist named Clementine Paddleford who made it her mission during the 1950s to discover how Americans ate. She turned the finding from her extensive travels into this book which after being out of print for 30 years, has recently been republished.
