Compagnie du Ponant Cruise Line Profile
Launched in 1988, Compagnie du Ponant is the only French-owned cruise line. Ponant currently owns five small ships, with another on order for delivery in June 2013. Their cruises definitely have a French flair, but are bilingual with English.
| Le Boreal Cruise Ship Tour
Le Boreal is a 264-passenger ship, with long, sleek lines. The interior is contemporary, and the overall feel of the ship is much like a large yacht. The ambiance is French, but casual. The ship's itineraries reach from the Arctic to the Antarctic, and Le Boreal carries its own small inflatable boats. Therefore, many of the cruises fall into the expedition category, although Le Boreal is certainly one of the most luxurious expedition ships afloat!
