From Teresa Plowright, your Guide to Family Vacations
Harry Potter fans who are sighing now that all the books and movies are done can perhaps console themselves, and prolong the magic, by heading to a special event in November: a celebration of all eight Harry Potter movies, held at Universal Orlando, the place where Muggles can enter the Wizarding World.

Harry Potter Vacation Package
Universal Orlando has had huge success with its beautifully detailed mini-theme park, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and is now planning "A Celebration of the Harry Potter Films" to take place there November 11 to 13th 2011. Two vacation packages are available that include screenings of all eight Harry Potter movies, Q and A sessions with cast members and film-makers, early admission to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, a private gala evening, and more.

Tips for Visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Whatever time of year you visit "the Harry Potter theme park" at Universal Orlando, you may find you have plenty of company sharing the experience of Hogsmeade Village and Hogwarts Castle... Read tips for avoiding line-ups and beating the crowds.

Florida Travel Apps
Smartphones and iPads can be worth their weight in gold for travelers, if only for the basics such as subway maps, parking info, and museum hours and locations. But of course they can do much, much, more... About.com's Guide for Florida Travel suggests apps for wait times at Disney World, wait times at Universal Orlando, traffic updates, destination info, and more.

Family Escape Package at Hawaii Resort
Finally, heading in the opposite direction from Orlando's theme parks: The Hilton Waikoloa Village Resort has an "Ocean Explorer" family package that continues through December, and includes a glass bottom boat cruise and more. This one-of-a-kind resort on the Big Island has 65 acres, pools with waterfalls, grottos and slides, a salt-water lagoon, and canal-boats and a monorail for getting around. (Kids love that part.)
