From Tom Nelson, your Guide to Macs
There's no doubt about the biggest technology-related news since the last issue of the About: Macs newsletter: Steve Jobs hanging up his Apple CEO hat. Jobs promised to stick around as chairman of the Apple board, which will allow him to continue to oversee Apple and help mold the direction it moves in. You may be wondering what the four acts are. The first was... Read more

A. This is one of the questions we receive here on a regular basis. It's usually a case where the startup drive has one or more issues that prevent the Mac from successfully starting up.

Luckily, the problem is usually one or more errors on the startup drive, which can easily be fixed. Of course, if you can't start your Mac, you can't run the software to fix the drive.
