From Donna Pilato, your Guide to Entertaining
Now that it turns dark so early, we need something special to brighten our days. Thank goodness Thanksgiving is just a few weeks away. Have an Entertaining week!

Easy, Thanksgiving Centerpieces
I have always loved Thanksgiving. The food is the ultimate in comfort dishes, and the color palate for this holiday is warm and comforting too. Now is the time to plan our Thanksgiving centerpieces so that when the holiday draws closer and our attention is all on the meal, we will know exactly what to do with our tables. These are some of my favorite easy, inexpensive Thanksgiving centerpiece ideas.

Thanksgiving is a Mere Three Weeks Away
I find it both exciting and scary to think that Thanksgiving is only three weeks from today. How did this year fly by so quickly? But I can't wait for the smell of roasting turkey and the fun of getting together with extended family. What shall I prepare this year, mom? As we prepare for the first of the big holiday feasts, I've put together some of my favorite, easy holiday tips that should help to make things go a little more smoothly as the big days approach.

Review of "Sarabeth's Bakery"
Among the many things you can whip up in the kitchen, I've always been partial to baking, believing that baking brings a certain art to the act of cooking for family and friends. Naturally I was very excited when this new baking cookbook arrived in my mailbox. I've never had the chance to visit Sarabeth's Bakery in New York City, but thanks to this cookbook I know why she's earned her reputation as a pastry chef. Read more about "Sarabeth's Bakery: From My Hands to Yours" in this review. And when you're done, you can test out her recipe for Black Beauty Cupcakes.

Giving Thanks and Saying Grace
Many households observe the tradition of pausing before a meal to give thanks for the food and other good things in their lives and on their tables. When entertaining, unless your religion has a specific guideline, you can be creative in deciding how grace will be said.
