From Robert Silva, your Guide to Home Theater
Welcome to my Weekly Home Theater Newsletter! Although we are all still affected by the economic downturn to some degree, the next several weeks are the happiest time of year. It is time to be thankful for what we do have, get together with friends and family, eat, and shop. Check out my Black Friday reports before you head out to the mall.

Black Friday 2010 - Part I - Best Buy, HH Gregg, and More
Thanksgiving is supposed to be the day we give thanks for all we have, and for the blessings of family and friends. However, in this age of consumerism, for many, Thanksgiving is actually a way to fuel up that body with enough calorie energy for coping with the next day's intense holiday shopping. The question is, which store to go to first? Who has the best deals? Check out a sampling of possibilities in Part I of my Black Friday Special.

Black Friday 2010 - Part II - Sears, Target, Walmart

Epson MovieMate 85HD Projector/DVD Player Combo - Review
The Epson MovieMate 85HD is one of a class of video projectors that include a built-in DVD player. The projector section utilizes 3LCD technology with 1280x800 (approx 720p) native resolution. All DVDs played in the projector's built-in DVD player are projected in 720p. The 85HD also has both an HDMI and microphone input (for Karaoke or presentations), and also has both built-in speakers and digital audio output (for connection to a home theater audio system). The 85HD is easy set up, making it great for novice users. To find out if the Epson MovieMate 85HD is right for you, check out my Review, Photo Gallery and Video Performance Tests. The Truth About "LED" TVS
There has been a lot of hype and confusion surrounding the introduction of "LED" Televisions. Even many marketing representatives and sales professionals that should no better are falsely explaining what an "LED Television" is to their prospective customers. The LED designation actually refers to the backlight system, not the chips that produce the image content. All LED TVs are still LCD TVs. For a detailed explanation, read my article: The Truth About "LED" Televisions
