From Arthur Levine, your Guide to Theme Parks
Lord almighty, I feel my temperature rising. The seasonal parks may be closed, but there are plenty of new coasters on the way for next season. From the sleek, launched Cheetah Chase at Busch Gardens Tampa to the old-school Zippin Pippin at Bay Beach Amusement Park in Wisconsin (a remake of the wooden coaster in Tennessee that was purportedly a favorite of Elvis Presley) and all kinds of other thrill machines in between, coaster fans like me (and you?) have lots to look forward to and to sustain us through the long, bleak off-season.

A Hunka Hunka Coaster Love
Speaking of old school, maybe 2011 will finally be the year that the retro Flying Turns--which was supposed to debut in 2007 and every season since then--will actually open at Knoebels in Pennsylvania. Or maybe not. Read about Cheetah Chase, Zippin Pippin, and other new goodies in About.com's Coaster Ride Guide 2011

Harry Potter and the Not-So-Forbidden Journey
In the wake of the opening of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, attendance has been up markedly at Universal Orlando. But folks clamoring to take a ride on the signature attraction, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, may have a less-costly and more pragmatic (if not exactly equivalent) alternative to making a pilgrimage to the Florida theme park resort: their local cineplex. Movie theaters outfitted with D-Box seating, a relatively new feature that allows specially equipped seats to rumble and move in sync with a film's projected action, will be showcasing the technology with this Friday's release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Read more about the cineplex phenomenon.

Everybody's a Critic-- Why Not You?
Have you been to Disney World? Have you dined at a Disney World restaurant? Did you have a memorable meal? (I'll leave it to you to define "memorable.") Then how about lending your opinion by posting a mini review? It'll only take a few moments. You'll be helping folks in search of dining tips as they make their plans to visit Disney World. And I'll be most appreciative. How's that for an incentive? OK, time to post your review.
