From Linda Garrison, your Guide to Cruises
The Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas is almost a year old, and later this month her new sister ship, the Allure of the Seas, will also begin sailing from Fort Lauderdale. I had the opportunity to sail on the Oasis ship for 2 nights late last year and compiled a series of articles and a couple of hundred photos of the new ship.

Oasis of the Seas - Ship Tour
The Oasis of the Seas was one of the most widely-anticipated cruise ships ever, and the wait was worth it. Oasis is huge, absolutely beautiful, and the innovative neighborhood concept provides a marvelous atmosphere for cruisers. The ship is contemporary, sleek, and has touches of both elegance and casual fun.

Oasis of the Seas - Boardwalk Neighborhood
The Oasis of the Seas Boardwalk is an outdoor area aft on deck 6. Designed to look like a seaside pier, the Boardwalk has activities and dining venues for all ages, especially family groups.

Oasis of the Seas - Central Park Neighborhood
If the Boardwalk is the casual, family-oriented seaside neighborhood on the Oasis of the Seas, then Central Park is its cosmopolitan counterpart. Surrounded by the ship on all sides, this beautiful park area could be in the middle of a city.

Oasis of the Seas - Dining Options
Oasis of the Seas features 24 distinct dining experiences, ranging from an exclusive signature restaurant, to neighborhood-specific themed venues, and new twists on Royal Caribbean's traditional dining areas.
