Everything Old is New Again at California Parks Among the new/new attractions are the World of Color nighttime spectacular coming to Disney's California Adventure and the water park opening at Legoland. Universal Studios Hollywood to Be Transformed The blockbuster film and toy franchise, Transformers, would seem to be ideally suited for a theme park attraction. It's flashy, it's part of the cultural zeitgeist, it's larger than life, and...it's GIANT ROBOTS! THAT CAN TRANSFORM! The Transformers oeuvre demands an over-the-top attraction--the kind that Universal Studios, home of Terminator 2:3-D, Jurassic Park-The Ride, and Revenge of the Mummy, is more than capable of delivering. And it is set to deliver the Transformer goods in 2011. Kids Fly Free to Soar on Soarin' and Dumbo Looking for an excuse to book a trip to Disneyland? The California resort is running a promotion that offers free airfare to kids, ages 2 to 11, with each paying adult who books a minimum 2-night flight, on-property resort, and park tickets package. The hitch? The participating carrier is Alaska Airlines, which services a limited number of cities flying into Los Angeles.
