Best of Europe

From James Martin, your Guide to Europe Travel
We're heading into the end of July and Italy isn't yet full of tourists. Our fact-finding trip to Arezzo yesterday was leisurely and lunch time turned into a truffle extravaganza. A trip to Corsica is in the works, another place Americans don't get to very often. Our "vacation" is in full swing.

Explore Bigo, Genoa's Panoramic Port Elevator
Our recent trip to Genoa was quite interesting. Lots of the city has been spiffed up for tourism and it's looking pretty these days. We went to the old port and paid 4 Euros to take a rotating car above the port, but you can get some of the same views for free. Everything is revealed in our virtual tour.

Air Berlin
According to contributing writer C. H. Kwak, Europe's third largest budget airline happens to be the swankiest. Check out this value airline and find out where it flies.

Buy Back Leases
We're running around in a brand new car with full insurance. Nobody's smoked in it. If it gets dinged I'm covered. If you're planning a trip longer than three weeks, maybe it's time to think of a French buy-back lease instead of renting a car.

Karlsruhe and the Black Forest
Karlsruhe, the gateway to the Black Forest, makes a nice base in southwestern Germany. Read the guide and see the pictures.
