We're just back from a short jaunt to Piemonte in northern Italy, where we visited a very interesting castle with Gothic frescoes from the 15th century, depicting a rather interesting view of life in those times. But the rural life isn't always the slow life--hot race cars recently plied the dirt roads of the Azores Islands.
