From Tom Nelson, your Guide to Macs
If this year's Readers' Choice Awards is anything like last year's, in a few weeks' time I'll start receiving emails from readers asking why Product X didn't make the list of candidates for the final vote. There are only a few days left to nominate your favorite Mac applications, products, or services in seven categories. Come Friday at 11:59 PM, nominations will be closed, and only the products that received enough nominations will go forward to the voting phase of the Readers' Choice Awards 2011.

So, even if you've already made your nominations, you may want to stuff the pre-ballot box. When it's time to pick the top 5 products or services in each category, the sheer number of nominations is one of the most important criteria. And unlike voting for public office, you can vote early and vote often... Make your nomination
