King Cake Recipe
This king cake recipe is based on the original variation of the sweet, yeast-risen cake filled with cream cheese custard typically served at Mardi Gras celebrations. The colorful cake is always sprinkled with yellow (or gold, symbolizing power), green (faith), and purple (justice) sugar or frosting. Whoever gets the baby or bean in their piece of cake gets to be king or queen for a day.

Beignets Recipe
This easy, yeast-free beignets recipe is a snap to throw together the morning after your Mardi Gras celebration. For added authenticity, do as they do at the famed Cafe Du Monde, and add a steaming mug of black chicory-coffee brew or a serving of cafe au lait for a complete breakfast.

Chocolate Fondant Cake Recipe
Dense, rich, and luxurious are a few terms that come to mind when describing this chocolate fondant cake recipe, also known as flourless chocolate cake. Made with bittersweet chocolate and a touch of vanilla, this recipe makes a silky loaf cake, or gateau, that melts in your mouth.

Cafe Brulot Recipe
This delicious spiced café brulot recipe is straight from the heart of the Cajun and Creole cuisine of New Orleans. Prepared tableside in local restaurants with equal parts grace and theater, the coffee features flambéed brandy, citrus peel and spices, mixed with hot coffee.
