A bit of good news, for air travelers: several airlines, in conjunction with Google, are offering free internet in the air during the holiday season.
| Thanksgiving Weekend Air Travel, With Full-Body Scanners
This Thanksgiving weekend is the first time that huge numbers of travelers are encountering new security procedures. 70 major airports now have "full body scanners"; passengers who perceive the scanners as an invasion of privacy can opt out, but the alternative is an "enhanced" type of physical pat-down that some people say is far more invasive than previously.
