From Teresa Plowright, your Guide to Family Vacations
It's like celebrity dating: who's going out with who? The family travel scene has some hot new matches: Nickelodeon characters turn up on cruises and at resorts; Fisher-Price is paired up with a cruise line and three Mexico resorts; and now toy company giant, LEGO, has partnered for the first time with a resort... None other than the legendary Atlantis Bahamas.

Atlantis Bahamas: Giant New Kids Club, LEGO Camps
The Atlantis Bahamas is a mega-resort on Paradise Island, with giant AQUAVENTURE waterpark, super waterslides, underground maze with giant aquariums -- and many more "biggest" and "one-of-a-kind" features. Recently, an 8000 sq. foot kids club opened up in partnership with LEGO, and this summer kids can participate in special four-day LEGO camps.

Spring Break Ideas in Florida
Orlando, of courses, is tops with families because it's theme park nirvana, and some extra fun gets added during spring break weeks: Disney World has free Flower Power concerts, and Universal Orlando has Mardi Gras weekends.

And then there's those beautiful Florida beaches... all-too-popular with college spring break partiers. Best strategy for families is to choose a more private beach resort. Or try Club Med Sandpiper - an all inclusive resort on the Saint Lucie River, with terrific baby and kids programs. See these and more ideas above.

Washington DC - Cherry Blossom Festival
This major spring festival -- March 27 to April 11-- is fab for families, with parades, fireworks, special Family Day, plus all the usual great sightseeing in Washington. Kids can even get an intro to Japanese culture: DC's heavenly blossoms date back to a gift of 3000 trees from the city of Tokyo in 1912, and the Festival honors Japanese arts (--kids can try origami, try on Japanese clothes...)
