From Kyle Phillips, your Guide to Italian Food
If you're celebrating Christmas, by now you will have decided what to serve, so there's not that much point in coming up with more suggestions. I will therefore do a roundup of pages, articles and so on from the site that I especially like. Some are new, and others less.

La Galleria delle Verdure e della Frutta
Yes, it's on the home page (under going shopping) and has been there for quite a while, because I never tire of prowling fruit and vegetable markets -- Fresh fruit and vegetables are quite beautiful, and I almost invariably find something new in every market I visit.

The Pasta Shapes Gallery
This was the first gallery I did, taking pictures with a digital camera that would now be at home in a museum. It needs work -- I have found more pasta shapes and will certainly find yet more -- and I will overhaul it during the coming year. But it's nice even now.

Braciole Fritte alla Fiorentina
As long term readers of this site know, I like recipes, but also like the history behind them. For example, why one would drown one's breaded fried veal scallops in tomato sauce -- because the amount of meat was less in the past, and that abundance of tomato sauce gave people something to eat with their bread, which was what stayed their hunger.

La Focaccia Col Formaggio di Recco
This is one of the tastiest street foods bar none, and considering that next week we will be planning for New Year's Eve parties, if you want to offer alternative quick eats, Focaccia is hard to beat. Very hard, and one of the few things that even comes close is nearby La Spezia's Farinata.
