| | Last week, we began looking back at the 14 cruise ships I had sailed on in 2010. This week I fondly remember 4 very different ships I was on in May, June, and July. Each delivers a very different cruise experience, ranging from lazy days in the sun to exciting shows in a theater at night. | | Arabella - Windjammer Sailing Ship Sailing the Caribbean on a tall ship like the Arabella, with the sails billowing in the wind overhead, is one of life's most pleasant experiences. I love large cruise ships too, but many travelers who do not like crowds or glitz would love a week on the Arabella. | Seabourn Sojourn Inaugural Event on the Thames River I love a good party, and what could be better than the naming of a new luxury cruise ship? British icon Twiggy named the new Seabourn Sojourn in London, and I was onboard for a couple of days to enjoy the fun and tour the new ship. | Carnival Fantasy - Bahamas Cruise from Charleston I live near Atlanta, which would be a better place if the ocean were nearer. However, the drive to Charleston is not far, and this historic city has the fun-filled Carnival Fantasy based there year-round. The Fantasy sails to the Bahamas, which is much easier (and more fun) than flying to these lovely islands for a sunny vacation. | Norwegian Epic Preview Sailing The 4100-passenger Norwegian Epic includes many exciting features such as its cabin layout, brand-name entertainment, and multiple dining and lounge options. The Blue Man Group performance was one of the best I've ever seen on a ship. Those who love great entertainment and many restaurants and lounges will love this new ship.
