From Kyle Phillips, your Guide to Italian Food
Wife Elisabetta has a check up today, so I will be taking daughter C to the beach. About half the people who come to the beach we frequent bring lunch with them. Usually sandwiches, with fruit, and something to drink. Many prefer water.

Salumi: Cold Cuts
Sandwiches require bread but what makes them shine is what one puts between the slices.

Bread? Focaccia is ideal...
Good bread is wonderful, but focaccia, split, can be even nicer.

La Piadina Romagnola
A piadina is a flatbread and though you can't split it, you can slather it with a spreadable cheese, cover the cheese with cold cuts, and fold it. Delightful!

Peaches!
For me, they symbolize summer.
